Allenberry Resort Historic Pennsylvania Wedding | Holly & Josh

Josh & Holly had one of the most memorable weddings I got to experience this season. Josh is from California, and Holly is from right here in PA, and SO many family and friends came to the beautiful historic Allenberry Resort in Boiling Springs, PA from near and far to celebrate Holly & Josh. I heard some west coast kids even got to experience fireflies (or lightning bugs as we sometimes call them) for the first time!

Holly & Josh met while working and interning for the Philadelphia Eagles and starting dating in 2014. During a 30th birthday celebration with both families present, Josh popped the question to Holly in a private room at the Marriott in Philadelphia that overlooks city hall and much of the city of Philadelphia. “There was a rose with the card and the inside read, ‘You are the greatest thing that has ever happened to me. Are you ready to spend a lifetime of happiness together?’. I looked down and there Josh was on one knee with a ring - and of course, he asked me to marry him.”

Holly planned the most beautiful and special ceremony & reception outdoor under a beautiful old tree on the grounds of Allenberry Resort. It was a hot and humid summer Pennsylvania day at the end of June, but it was absolutely beautiful. The heat didn’t stop all of the guests from having a wonderful time celebrating and creating amazing memories that they will surely cherish for the rest of their lives. Congratulations Holly & Josh!

Lacawac Sanctuary Woodsy Wedding | Emalee & Patrick

So... we've kinda had a rainy Summer thus far.  There, I've said it.  It's ben wet.  I'm talking record breaking rains type of wet.  Since outdoor weddings... I've been getting wet all season long!  But you know what?  I would still rather be outside, getting rained on with awesome couples who would rather be outside too.  Because even when it rains, being surrounded by nature on your wedding day is a pretty beautiful, down to earth {literally} thing.

Emalee & Patrick couldn't have chosen a more perfect place for the two of them to get married.  They love adventuring and hiking, and choosing a nature sanctuary for their wedding venue was so unique and beautiful (yes, even in the rain).  Deep in the woods, surrounded by little trails taking you down to the lake and from the tent to the barn where the ceremony and all the dancing took place, Lacawac Sanctuary was the perfect place for them to share their love (and lives) with all of their close friends and family.

Add a band into the mix and local flowers on the tables and I think that's a pretty perfect day in my book.  Emalee & Patrick, thank you SO much for allowing me to photograph your wedding.  Enjoy this glimpse into your day!
