I love September outdoor weddings! The air is just starting to get a little crisper, and the mountains surrounding this Stonehedge Country Club Wedding just make for a beautiful backdrop. Jennifer & Robert tied the knot on a beautiful Fall day and it couldn’t have been more perfect.
I got to know Jennifer & Robert a bit this year when I got to shoot their engagement session at World’s End State Park, which is also where Robert proposed! We had a great time and they were both so relaxed with one another, so I knew their wedding day would be so special. I love weddings with smaller wedding parties of just a few close friends and family members, it often leads to a calmer wedding day experience and Robert & Jennifer had just that!
All of Jennifer’s details, from her invitation suite to the table settings was so well coordinated and beautiful (I loved the navy and blush color palette!). But, my favorite part of the wedding was the ceremony itself! Jennifer & Robert’s pastor spoke about his recent travels to India and that a common concern many people have with India is the poverty amongst the people there. He quoted mother Theresa of Calcutta in saying, “The crisis of poverty in India is not as severe as the crisis of loneliness in America“, and tied it all together with relating marriage to an insurance policy against the loneliness crisis. What a simple and profound sermon during a wedding ceremony that I’ll never forget! Congratulations Jennifer & Robert - enjoy this glimpse into your day!
