Vibrant Ricketts Glen Waterfall Elopement Styled Shoot

This vibrant Ricketts Glen Waterfall Styled Shoot was what summer Pennsylvania dreams are made of.  Despite the heavy rains that have been impacting our area recently, some area swimming holes are quite beautiful, especially for a summer elopement in the mountains if you're an outdoorsy type of bride.  The inspiration behind this shoot was precisely that.  The mountains of Pennsylvania and the variation in the landscape is something that's so inspiring for me personally, and this session combined vibrant, locally grown flowers from Patchwork Planting with a woodsy feel sewn in throughout the wood place settings, the stunning invitation suite from Flourish Grace Calligraphy that even featured wildflowers in the envelope liner, the agate inspired cake from Bellas Bliss and of course the secret location at the foot of a gorgeous waterfall nestled along a gravel road in the middle of the dense forest.  For the full vendor dream team list, be sure to scroll down to the bottom of this post!

Ricketts Glen Elopement | Laura & Lucas

Laura and Lucas eloped on a beautiful {and hot} summer day at the beautiful new chapel at  The Lodge at Raven Creek in Benton, Pennsylvania.  Just a short drive to Ricketts Glen, the chapel was the perfect place for them to exchange vows and take some family portraits before heading off to the falls for some woodsy Pennsylvania romantic NEPA portraits at the foot of a waterfall.

Lauren & James | Ricketts Glen Engagement

Ricketts Glen is one of my absolute favorite state parks here in Pennsylvania, so I was thrilled when Lauren and James agreed to explore some of the gorgeous areas (other than the waterfalls) with me for their August engagement session.

Lauren has a bubbly and energetic personality so I loved walking around the Hayfields at Ricketts glen and exploring some of my favorite secrets of the area while getting to know her and James a bit better.  Despite a little bit of a set back and confusion on our initial meeting spot (and lack of cell phone service on the mountain), they both totally nailed this session and I'm so looking forward to their Barn at Glistening Pond wedding next year!

Nicole DuMond is a wedding and portrait photographer based in the rolling hills of Stillwater, Pennsylvania. Nicole spends her free time exploring and hiking in the Ricketts Glen area close to home and also traveling internationally.  Nicole DuMond Photography serves Central and Northeastern Pennsylvania and the surroundings areas and is always up for an adventure outside the norm.

Wrightsville Beach Engagement | Mallory & Justin

Wrightsville Beach North Carolina Engagement Session

I just LOVE the Wilmington, NC area and always get so excited to be able to spend time on Wrightsville beach!  As a PA girl, the beach has always been my happy place and although I never actually lived there, Wrightsville Beach sort of felt like a home away from home from the first time I visited.  I'm thrilled to have had the opportunity to shoot Mallory & Justin's engagement session on our most recent visit & even test out a new camera system, the Fuji X-h1.

This is actually a two part blog post, and you can check out the Wilmington Arboretum part of the session here.

We started the morning at the Arboretum, took a break midday, and then met back up in the evening at Mallory & Justin's beach house to shoot part two on the beautiful Wrightsville Beach at golden hour!  We had the south end of the beach mostly to ourselves which made for some gorgeous aerial shots (check out the color of that water!).  We then took a little walk down to Crystal Pier because, well, I'm sorrrrrt of a pier geek, if that's a thing.  I just think they're beautiful and so picturesque!  We ended the night watching a gorgeous sunset on the south end of the beach, which was the perfect way to close out our evening.

Thanks so much Mallory & Justin for trusting me with this session... enjoy & of course congratulations!
